I think that the narrator is not happy with his life or his partner,but he's telling himself it's alright,eventually the stress gets to him and he dies of a heartattack,while telling himself that everythings okay....... Songs like this make me cherish my life. |

I think that this song is about Alzheimer's disease. "...still the way I see you now"-the narrator does not remember any recent facts about the person, so they still see them as a child.This is the earlier stages of the disease,it is only affecting their memory. "How does time break down With no marker, things slow down."-The narrator's disease has now worsened,they have lost perception of time. "A conference of the strange And your family is deranged"-The narrator does not remember who their family,or even themselves are,the people claiming to be their family seem to be deranged. I also think that the long instrumental passage represents the worsening of the disease,and the extended riff at the end signals the narrator dying at the hands of the disease. |
