Basicallly this is about a couple leaving each other. The guy is leaving his establishment and venturing out to new and different things. But even though its new things doesn't always seem like he is assimilating to his environment. its a great song and a great message about remembering your past and being strong in life no matter how weak you think you are. He is trying to tell everyone that i don't fit in, but I cant go back to my life. Even though i am not going to never leave my town mentally, I can leave and move on physically and grow and build new and different things. It really relates to me because it reminds me when I got out of the military and I felt soo lonely. BUT i decided to move to CA to pursue the dreams that i have always wanted to do. Sometimes I get caught up a little bit from the pretentious side of LA but I always tend to realize who i truly am and who i will truly always be. A southern guy with standards, morals, and values. |

| I completely agree with you for the most part. i think the song is about chasing something, such as a relationship, or something in life that is just going to be a lost, or just a waste of time. however, i don't think its talking about unrequited love. i think its talking about holding onto something even if when you know its over. BUT you are just so lost, you don't want to make up your mind. Because once you make up your mind, for good, you know that its over and all hope is lost. | |
