The song Meaning (in my opinion) is about broken promises (or somebody that got betrayed). the first half of the first verse: Skin to bone, steel to rust Ash to ashes, dust to dust Will tomorrow have it's way With the promises we made Skin to bone, steel to rust. It's actually about the promises that they make... The other half of the first verse: Ash to ashes, dust to dust Your deception, my disgust When your name is finally drawn, I'll be happy that you're gone Ash to ashes, dust to dust. That's about after the writer got betray So the song is mostly about the betrayal... nothing else... |

from what i see so far (and listen to the song so far) i think it's not about wars or stuff like that... It's about imperfection, and people today demands "perfection" See... the "Castle Of Glass" is equal as a perfect society, and the crack is the imperfection of the society. But it could be the imperfection of people (or in this song... Chester's imperfection). If you ask "why this is a lot different than the other interpretation" it's because it reminds me of me... see from the lyrics "'Cause I'm only a crack in this castle of glass Hardly anything there for you to see". It could be more like "if you don't like my imperfection, just leave me alone" |

i think for the "meaning" there's 3 meanings (or point out on to...): -Talking to the government (since the lyrics says: wanna see you choke on your lies Swallow up your greed Suffer all alone in your misery and I think it's about the corruption and stuff ) -The "angry" fans that kept saying "the new album sucks, bring back to the basic", and they sick of it -War... (since this song is on Medal Of Honor: Warfighter trailer) |
