Don't know which song was written first but "Greenest Eyes" was recorded nearly a year before "Showdown". I have the "Slips & Tangles" cassette and it says that "Greenest" was recorded in April '92, and the "How To Clean Everything" album was recorded in Feb '93. The line i "Airport Lounge" comes from the song "Leg-Hold Trap" that JKS wrote for his pre-Propagandhi band Toothpick Hercules. But Propagandhi both recorded and performed the song. A live version has been available on the Quality/Quantity compilations. A studio recordning was made in 93 and was supposed to be on the debut album but in the end never made the cut. It was released for the first time in 2012 as a part of the digital EP "Recovered". |
