I think this song is about two people who deeply love each other, but one is suffering from depression/anxiety. The author is trying to help ease these emotions by singing to her about money, gold, diamond rings, greater years, etc. He wants her to know that he will always love her unconditionally, and he doesn't want her feelings of doubt, sadness, and fear to last longer than they have to. Just the way I've always looked at it. I love this band so much, and have seen them many times live. I've never caught this song though. I would probably cry if I did. |

| I think it definitely has to do with Jenny not liking the relationship that she's in. He can sense something is wrong, but she won't come out and say it. I made an account just because this song is so awesome I can't believe there's not more comments. This song is absolutely beautiful. It's about giving your all in life, not being discouraged by all the negativity in the world, and staying true to the people and the things that you love.
