first: it sounds to me like he's saying "Do I run? You won't get far." as if having a conversation with two people, or a quick in-head debate. possible situations: captured: 'do i run?' (thinking out loud) captor: 'you won't get far.' i can't say that it makes much sense in the context of the song but 'two run run' is completely nonsensical, and do doo run run is even worse so i submitted it. second: the song seems to be about being animals and how what separates us from them is just body parts. if we had tails, we'd be animals. we'd control the night, and since animals have less of a concept of boundaries "this property is mine this is yours" than humans then the line 'when you own the world, you're always home' makes more sense. just my interpretation. |
