People do not need to "toughen up" over comments such as thats gay. When you're replacing a word like stupid, lame, or dumb for the word gay can you not see how homosexual people would be offended by that? And I get that you have your religious beliefs, but if that is the case than lets not forget the classic argument of "God created all of us" and remind yourself that the bible is a paraphrased book written 3500 years ago |

Woah beautiful songs I don't know about that woman's intentions here or anything, but here's my interpretation... this man is dating a woman who is very complicated when it comes to dating. She doesn't quite know what she wants. On the one hand she wants to just get over her pride and be with him, but on the other hand she doens't want to give in and let herself trust anyone again. She is used to avoiding commitment hence the line "You want me gone but I stay the night" I think that she does want him there but she doesnt want to allow herself to be vulnerable to anyone. Him on the other hand, he loves her and truly gets her, and thats why he puts up with all her complications and insecurities. All she really wants is for him to prove that he won't hurt her since he has made mistakes in the past with other people - hence her suspicious right eye. She is always messing up and treating him like crap not because she's an asshole but just because she's not good at being in a committed relationship. He realizes this, hence: Everybody seems to wonder why I go right back to you ever time But I don't mind Love those lines. |

Great song! I'm afraid to admit that it reminds me of a song that anyone I've ever dated would probably want to sing me. It is clearly written about someone that he cared about very much who took him for granted and didn't appreciate his affection - "You desired my attention, but denied my affection" - This girl is most likely dating him for the sake of dating him and is just keeping him around for the hell of it. Although I can understand the writer's point of view and sympathize for his situation, I more feel I can relate to the girl that the song is written about. The opening verse is clearly aimed at the guy this girl his moved onto - a guy who does not seem to care for her very much or treat her very well. Based on the line, "And can you kneel before the king, And say I'm clean" I would assume that this guy is cheating on her. This is very relatable to anyone in my opinion, because it is much easier to want something that we can't have and tend to take those who truly care for us for granted. |
