The Whore of Babylon is a figure in Christianity associated with the devil and evil. She is considered the mother of all prostitutes and I think that they use Babylon as the title very cleverly because it does tie right into what their overall message is. Basically from what I can take from the lyrics is that they are trying to keep faith in women but ultimately women make it extremely difficult for men to stay trustworthy of them. It's a brilliant song and looking back you can tell this was one of the songs on ATLiens that showed a sign of things to come on later Outkast LPs. |
