This means that the person is looking back at their life and trying to make sense of something that can't so they must cast off the past and move on. This means that in the past the person they loved they have lied to and now they cannot anymore so they try to stop and they must deal with it on their own which means they need to end this cycle of pain and lying. This means they don't understand what the other person is feeling and they doubt if they ever will they are wondering if the person is going to wait for them to find a way to understand them. | I think this song, is about a relationship and this person, has made the same mistakes in one relationship and is doing it again, but they have loved more so they know how it feels already and they aren't going to be too bad. It is also about self expectations of the person who doubts they can be anything more than they are and that they are always losing out on life and they need to know if there is more to do than just lose | |
