Mickey Avalon has gotten it all figured. Everything is relative. Einstein tried to tell us this in 1967. |

The person is fearful that if the person does leave they may not find another person who will ever feel the way the partner did about them. Thus, they feel the pain of time hanging over them. The limited time they believe may be left for them in their life and the impact that limit is likely to have on their ability to find someone else should their fears become realized. -"I'm the light blinking at the end of the road" Another analogy: A person feels they have traveled further (not farther in this sense) than their partner and is trying to give the partner a signal in an attempt to get the partner to return to synchronicity with the person. -"Blink back to let me know" A person is asking their partner to give them a sign they will recognize to demonstrate the partner is beginning to understand where the person is and, further, that the partner is willing to make an effort to synchronize with them. -"I'm a fly that's trapped in a web But I'm thinking my spider's dead" A person has come to rely on the ability to play the victim to achieve a desirable reaction from their partner and is confused why the partner has stopped responding in the desired way. -"Lonely, lonely little life I could kid myself thinking that I'm fine" The person is worrying that there may be too few other persons with whom they can effectively communicate and contemplates the option of pretending otherwise. "That I'm skin and bone just a king and a rusty throne" The person is worried that their mortality will prohibit them from ever again experiencing the energy they are fearful of having lost. This worry causes them to realize that all accomplishments are fleeting to a degree. "Oh, the castle's under siege but the sign outside says 'leave me alone'" The person is fearful that Carl Sandburg's prediction has just come true in regard to their life. The prediction was "Sometime they'll give a war and nobody will come" All of this can be interpreted to boil down to a person's concern over the following question: "Name one person who wants to be with a person who does not follow through on the promises they make." |

When the world gets too heavy, put it on my back, I'll be your levy -The person is offering to carry any weight that is greater than their partner can carry without breaking. You are taking me apart -The person feels they are being over-analyzed by their partner which is causing difficulties for the couple Like bad glue on a get well card -This is an analogy. Many people are likely to overlook the intended sentiment of a get well card if there is noticeably bad glue on the card. It was always you falling for me -The person feels that their partner is no longer responding to them in the way the person has grown to predict Now there's always time calling for me -The person is fearful that if the changes in their partner signify a likelihood the partner will leave the relationship. This fear is causing the person to |
