The Beatles – Blackbird Lyrics 5 years ago
It was written after McCartney saw a black woman being beaten by police in America for sitting in the whites only section. They also saw on TV the racism towards the Little Rock Five trying to walk into a formally all white school. It was about the civil right movement and the black people only wanting to be free like everyone else. We are still working on it to this day.

The Monkees – Randy Scouse Git Lyrics 5 years ago
The song is set in a club where a party thrown by the Beatles to welcome the Monkees to England and it is winding down. There are birds out on the sidewalk are groupies, the 4 Kings of EMI are sitting stately on the floor is the Beatles. The wonderful lady is Samantha Juste, his first wife who he just met and Cass Elliot is the girl in yellow dress. The description of the title of the song is true in an earlier post. That much I know for sure. I think the why don't you cut your hair why don't you look up there is a lot about the establishment not liking the long haired hippies and wanting them to conform. The hate part could have a lot to do with the civil rights movement at the time. I know that McCartney wrote Blackbird after watching a black woman being beaten by police for sitting in a seat in the whites only section.
