Rabbit's anchor heart seems to indicate that he/she/it is wanting to go home, the anchor heart tying rabbit there. Fox and Bear appear to be aimless "casting thoughts into the open air waiting for their thread to catch somewhere' going nowhere for the moment. Elephant is a motherly figure who seems to also embody characteristics of Christ, who sacrifices herself for the rest of the animals, trying to comfort the others by saying she is too feeble too flee while assuring she remains there. I don't think Tiger is trapped, he just has no anger anymore, "cooled your fire with it's tears". Maybe this is Aaron's way of showing TIger resigning himself to the officers. Perhaps this is what Aaron wants to be like, but he characterizes himself as Fox, who flees. |

I think the song is calling the conductor of a February 1878 train, Casey Jones' legacy obsolete. Mostly compared with the light of God and Aaron's usual preaching! Amazing song though! |
