I love this song! its about letting go of limiting beleifs tries to stop you from acheving your true potential. Everyone fears something, what sets you apart from the rest is that you ackowledge the fear but not let it control you. Although a challenge may be scary, you push on through and give it everything you have got. It about reaching beyond your limits. This song inspires me to go out into the unknown |

My interpretation of this song is directly related to the effects of depression. It about experiencing a real low point in your life that leaves you in a state of helplessness where you are unable to pull yourself out of. The state of depression is slowly sapping you of all your energy, where it slowly takes hold of you as a person where you are unable to be who are are normally. The singer is trying to bring this person back into reality and is reminding him/her that this is not who the person usually is, it is the depression. This person wants nothing more to do with the world around them and forgets that he/she has people around who care about them. The more this person pushes people away the more the depression takes over because their social support decreases. The line stating 'I know your feeling like you're lost, you think you've drifted way too far' gives some hope saying no matter how far you fall its never too late to pick yourself back up. So you can once again be the person who you once were and shine your light out into the world. I think alot of people can relate to this song at some point in their life.. awesome stuff |
