When I first heard this song, I imagined cupid trying to make himself/herself fall in love. 'You threw them away' referring to them not liking the people they thought they fell in love with. The narrator; deeply in love with the subject, felt like they had to be there whenever he/she fell into a black hole. They were the only person they could rely on. From the lyrics, I feel that they know the narrator is in love with them, and in a way is in fact using them to pick themselves back up. The lyrics express hurt alongside a deep need of companionship on both sides. 'Please don't go, I want you so. I can't let go, for I lose control.' We can all relate to this song; whether a lover, a family member or friend. So many beautiful words strung together. |

To me, this song is about applauding those who fight for themselves. To pursue yourself no matter what obstacles are blocking your path, even if you feel like giving up completely. Yes, it can be hard, but there is a light at the end of the dark tunnel. This song helped me through a very difficult 3 years. Beautiful song. |
