As much as you may know about religion etc., it's worth being careful about what you say on here. "I don't believe in fairy tales And no one wants to go to Hell, But you made the wrong decision And it's easy to see. Now if you want to serve above or be a king below with us You're welcome to the city where your future is set forever." When they say this, they preface it by saying they do NOT believe in such places as heaven/hell etc. They are not imposing views of true belief of religion. It's simply a METAPHOR implying that rather than follow the crowd and run scared 'to god' they'd rather go their own way, rule their own lives and decisions. This represents their views on religion also by saying they'd rather be their own 'kings' than have someone rule over them (god.) The comment you made about Jimmy was just unnecassary. I understand that is what you believe, but think of the people reading this. I'm not religious, (clearly) and whether anyone else is, I don't want them telling me that one of my HEROES is "suffering an eternal death". Believe what you want, I have no problem with that, but understand that others do not believe. To me, my belief, just as much as your religous beliefs, is that when we pass away, it's due to the body being able to function and sustain life. And thus it stops, just as a plant would, just as any other animal would. There is no soul, no ghost, nothing goes anywhere. Jimmy passed away and with the passing of him went his "soul". Everything he was, his personality, his opinions, everything someone may believe is part of whatever it is that 'goes to heaven' in fact just dies with our body. So to me, Jimmy is not "suffering eternal death". He died. He passed on. He will not "suffer" for what he did while alive. Seeing what you wrote is upsetting and a strong (and to some people incorrect) OPINION. So like I said, careful what you share on here. Because not everyone believes what you do. There's many things that would upset you to think about that I could say about religion, but I won't. Because I think people should respect each other and not impose views that could upset others. I think people are taking the lyrics a bit too seriously. I think it's more of a metaphor of a dysfunctional relationship. Due to his excessive paranoia, maybe he got abusive or controlling. He says at the beginning how "Something would go wrong,Before the possibilities came true, I took all possibility from you" Basically, this explains how he would stop her ever being able to leave him/cheat on him whatever. The abuse/controlling is expressed by the 'stabbing'. Her stabbing him, in return, I believe is her leaving him. It's like a fuck-you for being like that, I'm off, and that pain symbolises his 'stabbing'. After this, he says he must "apologise from somewhere far beyond the grave" I think the 'far beyond the grave' symbolises the grave of their relationship, ie. after things ended. After that, they rekindle their love and get married, explaining the wedding ceremony. Where it says "We're coming back, coming back We'll live forever, live forever Let's have wedding, have a wedding Let's start the killing, start the killing" I believe the 'start the killing' says that they both accept they were wrong in the relationship, but as it's now them BOTH 'killing' it may be some sort of agreement to maybe take their problems out on OTHER people instead of each other.
