My son's father (my ex) never felt that special love for his son. Never did he feel he was his son, and it used to upset me. When I met my new boyfriend, he recognized my son as his. You don't have to be a biological father to be the real father. In fact, the more I look at my son, the more he looks like my boyfriend, and they both recognize each other; belong to each other. It used to scare my boyfriend, because he didn't understand how it's possible. There are things you just can't explain.
