| The Rescues – My Heart With You Lyrics | 13 years ago |

For me this amazing song is about God, love and afterlife. "Waited a hundred years to see your face and i would wait a hundred more, if only to be near you, to have you and to hear you. Isn't that what time is for?" Living life on Earth, having faith in divine eternity... Isn't that what time is for? Meaning life spent on Earth is just one stop in our journey to heaven. "Sailed a thousand ships in search of you, traveled to distant lands. I dove for sunken gold, I took what i could hold, but you're still the greatest treasure I've held in my hands." I've dealt with and learned from everything and everyone God has put on my path in faith that He knows what is best for me, knowing He is the King (greatest treasure). "My love, the reason I survive, trust we'll be together soon. Should our fire turn to dark, take my heart with you." My love for Him is what keeps my going and I trust we will meet in heaven. Should I stray on my path (turn to dark), He will be righteous and take my heart. "A tattered photograph my pocket holds, I keep you secretly. I've studied every line. You're etched upon my mind, for not a million soldiers could take you from me." He is always with me (even in my pocket) on a photograph. I've studied His word, word of life, every line of it and it is carved in my mind and heart. No one can take Him away from me, His love is beyond what we expect or deserve. He lets us do what we want, but awards us with Kingdom of Heaven when we choose to love Him in return. Anyway, that is my interpretation. |
