"To wash my eyelids in the rain"... Hm. This verse is a bit enigmatic to me as well.. He does need it for rhyme, that's for sure. It could mean that he is crying so he now the rain washes his tears. But, maybe too simple. It could be that it rain gives him strenght to live so he stands there letting the raindrops fall on his face and help him live without Marianne, or remembers him about Marianne. |
