To all you religious nutbags, the band actually said that the Ep was completely about JUST ZOMBIES. No religious stuff. Yes they are a christian band, but it doesn't mean everything they write is about christianity. This song is about being outnumbered by zombies. |

I feel as though this song is about someone that lied or cheated on him and it's hurting him because he still loves her after all that she's done to him and can't let her go, and it's frustrating him that she's haunting him even after all that. But it's not only the lyrics that tell the story of the song it's also the guitar, the clean interlude part sorta feels like he's finally released from the hold she had over him, like he's finally let go. |

My impression was that it was about someone that really really hurt him, hence the "you are the thing that's killing me" part, because it feels like that when someone has broken your heart or something similar. And perhaps they are the kinda person that does it on a regular basis, hence the "you're a monster, you're built to fall" part, saying that, because they do this a lot they will fall inevitably, because they are a horrible person. Just my interpretation though. |
