Grand Slam made a great point. I'd also like to add that to me, it seems like a person is talking to God and asking Him why his prayers aren't being answered the way he thinks they should be. He thinks he's doing everything right (like most of us--only when it's convenient, probably) and waiting on God to tell him what to do or how to live (instead of seeking him through scripture, for example). God replies by saying that "I won't be just where you want me to be... ...I just want all of you!" As a Christian, you ought to be willing to give up all of yourself to God.
So many different thoughts come to mind when picking this song apart... It really is amazing. I'm very sad that they didn't play it when I saw them live. I also should have thought to ask Micah more about the lyrics when I had the chance to see if I am anywhere near the mark! This song is truly a life-changer for me. |
