Created an account just to post my input. I think this song reminds me of a long distance relationship. And it's getting strained between the two. The girl is growing distant but the guy is still holding on. "I tell her that I miss our little talks" - Still remembering the girl he once loved. The girl is still confused and doesn't know what the right decision for the situation is. "Some days I feel like I am wrong and I am right". However the guy is still holding on and trying to convince her everything will be okay and that this insecurity will pass "Your mind is playing tricks on you my dear". Neither of them want to let go, no matter what they might say "Just let me go, me against you. Now wait, wait, wait for me. Please hang around, I see you when I fall asleep." But it seems that they can only see each other in their dreams. I think "Because though the truth may vary, This ship will carry our bodies safe to shore" means if they can hold on that their love [the ship] will bring them back together. |
