Porcupine Tree – Trains Lyrics 13 years ago
Hello everyone, I've just joined this community. I have to tell you that, it is amazing to see everyones' ideas are different and somehow make sense in that specific perspective. To me, this song is about death. But that the death that is portrayed in Heartattack in a layby. Actually I think that, every song portrayes a different theme of death. In this one, he remembers his cousin's death. They used to spend a lot time together. And they were so close that kissing each other. The train is the tool that helps him to bring back his cousin's memories. In the last verse he says that it's killing me, it's OK and in my views it means that remembering the memories of his cousin really hurts but he has such a point of view that, rather than forgetting them, he prefers to remember them. It hurts but it's ok since those memories help him to feel how was it to be with his cousin. Also it can be said that he and his cousin were together only in summer time and they were having so great time that it was always slipping away. Anyway, this is what the song means to me. thank you for reading :)
