I think this may be a reflection about her sister's first marriage. As you know, Stacy was the youngest Dupree sister in Eisley. She was the primary song writer for many of the bands songs, starting at age 10. Around 2006 the band was loosing their initial spark, and mystery. Being young, they posted much of their personal lives on the internet in blogs, twitter and through Eisley's website. If you interpret the song to be about Stacy loosing a best friend- I think it would refer to Sherri. Sherri entered into a marriage very suddenly, which ended in divorce quite quickly afterwards. I think this is song is about that situation. Where she worries about her older sister, when they get older and realize the consequences of having their personal lives all over the internet. |
