What it means to me atm is taking something from someone for your own selfish gain and wishing them goodluck afterwards (godspeed = goodluck). I've got a sick mind but when listening to this song I can envisaige a girl being raped, while keeping in mind that medievil cultures treated rape victims as sinners but can also see it as a virgin getting laid for the first time at a party - a one night stand sort of thing. Lol |

"I will unlock my door And pass the Cemetery Gates" You can't see through doors; his door being the door locking and hiding away his hurt and regret. This door is a metephor for his pride. He unlocks it by visiting the cemetary, to see his lost love or go there himself due to suicide. A gate is see-through, so everybody can see him morn and cry and see him pay for what he did, or see him in his grave to witness his shot at redemption. Also, the cemetary gates are allways unlocked and we can easily 'pass' through, as if we all have the choice to redeem ourselves. So much more to say on this song. I love my friend for showing this great song song to me. |
