| The Shins – Port of Morrow Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I think this song is about the things in life that shouldn't happen, but we can't help. And how when you have kids you should protect them from it, but that isn't always a good thing, and like someone said the last line about how everyone has a skeleton. | |

This song, I really love :D I think it's like this: (Born to multiply) Born to multiply Born to gaze into night skies You are born to learn about things, and sometimes it doesn't work out All you want’s one more Saturday Well look here until then You want more time to get away from the people who you dislike, but just stay quiet until then They’re gonna buy your nice time So keep your wick in the air and your feet in the fetters These people are going to pick on you for no reason, so just stay low until you can get away from them 'Till the day you come in doing cartwheels We all pull out by ourselves Because one day, you will be free of them, and it's just you who managed to do it, even though we feel people helped us, it generally wad you And your shape on the dance floor Will have me thinking such filth and gouge my eyes I think this line is about unwanted jealousy a bit, because if they are happy and the (author) is not, they don't want to feel that way because it is their friend You’d be damned to be one of us girl Faced with a dodo’s conundrum I felt like I could just fly But nothing happend every time I tried I think this is pretty straight forward, this person belongs with them, constantly getting picked on, but when they try to get away, they cant (faced with a dodo's conundrum---dodo's couldn't fly) A dual-tone on the wall wall Selfish fool and hoped he’d save us all I think the dual tone on the wall part means a shadow, always following you around Never dreamt of such sterile hands You keep 'em folded in your lap And raise them up to beg for scraps This bit, I think, is how you feel unproductive, and you just take what you can get You know he's holding you down With the tips of his fingers just the same For you to be be pulled from the ocean But just a minute too late Or changed by a potion We’ll find a handsome young mate for you to love I think this part is about how, if you are constantly being pressurized you can't get away unless the person who is making you pressurized is gone, or you'd need to have a potion, with the help of friends, you'd find somebody that you can trust You'll be damned to pining through the windowpanes you know You'll trade your life for any ordinary Joe You and I will grow old Your nightmares only need a year or two to unfold Eventually, you'll be complaining about even the small things, and you would gladly change your life for another person, and as this goes on, so will your worst nightmares Been alone since you were twenty-one You haven't laughed since January You try and think of this as so much fun But we know it to be quite contrary People say it will go away, but whatever they say seems to be the opposite Damned to be one of us girl Faced with the android's conundrum I felt like I should just cry But nothing happens every time I take one on the chin Your humor in your coat you don't know how long I've been Watching the lantern dim starved of oxygen So give me your hand and let's jump out the window So, you are stuck with them, and you can#t live your life, cry or feel emotion, and even when you do try to hide it, you can't. So you start counting down time, and get fed up and leave with your friends. This is just my interpretation, I cold be way off |

| The Shins – Pariah King Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I think many people can relate to this song. I think there are two sides to this song, one, the part of children having to fight out to impress other people, or be sent outcast (pariah) or it has a sort of fairy tale to it, the metamorphic side, either way, this song is great! | |
