And why do fans feel so strongly about Tool to the point where they almost worship, I would imagine for the same reason I do. Tool's music and lyrics explosed me to a world of thought that I had never yet been exposed to. The lyrics and music pointed me the way of a deep study of psychology, eastern religions, human nature and darwinism, fundamental religiousity and it's affect on society and individual's mental health, it's endless...sorry for getting off topic, about Lateralus, my favorite Tool song...

and plus, i really don't understand how maynard's voice is buried in the music, i mean seriously, there are many Tool songs like this one and I can hear Maynard pretty well, just turn up the volume and concentrate. |

i'd agree with d0nk1e, I mean it's true Maynard is one heck of a guy and all, but Tool's really great because of all the band members and more importantly, given Maynard's attitude, i dont think he'd be willing to make a band with people who werent as great as he is. Tool's only complete because everything comes together.
