| He Is We – Fall Lyrics | 13 years ago |

Well, these aren't the right lyrics for this song, but I'll go ahead and explain how I interpreted the song... "Where do I begin? I'm ready now. I've let out what's been in. Running round my head What did I do wrong? Tell me it's my fault You didn't lead me on, well that's good to know" She doesn't know where to start moving on, but she decides that she's ready now. She's told him everything that she has been holding in and what she's been thinking in her mind. She doesn't know what she did wrong to make the relationship end but he is telling her it's her fault. He told her that he didn't lead her on but she thinks he did. (The first line could also mean where does she begin in telling him what she is thinking) "Get your lips off of me, I'm not okay with this. So long now I was betrayed with a kiss I'm done. I'm done. I'm done. You won this time." She wants him to get away from him because he betrayed her. She's done with the relationship and she is moving on. "Set my pride to the side Tear me open look inside Just to see how many times you've really made these eyes cry. Oh... Oh... I let you in and gave you pieces I'm quick to stumble pain increases. Oh there's a hole That lingers deep inside my body, I fall too fast no one can stop me, no." He lead her on just to see how he could hurt her. She gave him part of her, told him secrets and basically trusted him only to be let down or led on. She falls for guys easily and it only hurts her more but she cannot help it. He's left her and now there's a hole where he should be but he isn't. "So what I wanna love? Why's it hurt so bad? I'd say it's like a drug, but I don't feel the high My heart is about to break for the final time. All I do is ache, and I can't find some piece of mind. Break it off, god he know I'm trying Shake it off, no more crying. I'm done, I'm done, I'm done. You won't win this time." Rachel wants to know why love hurts so bad and why she wants love in the first place. She says love and getting his love is like a drug, she needs it to go on but she doesn't feel happy like what a drug would do to you. Her heart is about to break again and she's tried of it. All she does is feel pain and suffering. She knows she has to stop showing how she's feeling towards him because he will know she is trying to get him back (or to move on?) She tells herself to stop crying because she doesn't want him to see it. She is done with him and she isn't going to let him bring her down or use her this time. "Why do we always have to go? I'm making a scene let's start the show Every part of me that's been torn down I'm sick of being hush hush I'm going to make a sound. A Sound Hey... Yeah" She wonders why all the guys she loves go. She wants to go over to where he is and let out all of her feelings to him instead of keeping them bottled inside. She's tired of keeping her feelings locked inside her head and she wants to share them with him now. That was just how I interpreted the lyrics...the band's meaning could've been different or it could be different to someone else. This is a wonderful song! |

"He woke up from dreaming and put on his shoes Started making his way past 2 in the morning He hasn't been sober for days Leaning now into the breeze Remembering Sunday, he falls to his knees They had breakfast together But two eggs don't last Like the feeling of what he needs" This is saying that a man just woke up very early in the morning after being drunk for a long time. He finally remembers Sunday when his girlfriend left him (or did something serious like suicide). They had breakfast Sunday morning but it doesn't give him enough and he wishes to see her again. "Now this place seems familiar to him She pulled on his hand with a devilish grin She led him upstairs, she led him upstairs Left him dying to get in Forgive me, I'm trying to find My calling, I'm calling at night I don't mean to be a bother, But have you seen this girl? She's been running through my dreams And it's driving me crazy, it seems I'm going to ask her to marry me" He is in her neighborhood or house. He remembers when she took him up to her room but she didn't let him in it. He's asking all around her neighborhood if anyone has seen the love of his life, and he doesn't want to come off as a bother or annoying. He wants to ask her to marry him but he can't seem to find her anywhere. "Even though she doesn't believe in love, He's determined to call her bluff Who could deny these butterflies? They're filling his gut Waking the neighbors, unfamiliar faces He pleads though he tries But he's only denied Now he's dying to get inside" She doesn't believe in love but he's convincing himself that she's just saying that to hide her feelings for him. He's waking up the neighbors; asking if they have seen her but they all say that they haven't. He's dying to find her. "The neighbors said she moved away Funny how it rained all day I didn't think much of it then But it's starting to all make sense Oh, I can see now that all of these clouds Are following me in my desperate endeavor To find my whoever, wherever she may be" He finally found a neighbor that knew something about what had happened to her...he says that he moved away. That day it rained all day and it's funny to him because of how sad he was to hear this news. He didn't believe that the neighbor had said but now it's starting to make sense to him since he can't seem to find her anywhere. He can now see that bad luck is following him because he can't find her. "I'm not coming back (forgive me) I've done something so terrible I'm terrified to speak (I'm not calling, I'm not calling) But you'd expect that from me I'm mixed up, I'll be blunt, now the rain is just (You're driving me crazy, I'm) Washing you out of my hair and out of my mind Keeping an eye on the world, From so many thousands of feet off the ground, I'm over you now I'm at home in the clouds, and towering over your head" This is the girl speaking (Juliet Simms of Automatic Loveletter sings this part.) I see two sides to this part of the song. For the first part, I see a girl who is terrified to come back home because she has done something bad like cheating on him and she can't face him because of it. She isn't calling him or picking up his calls because she is terrified of what he might have to say to her. She thinks that he'd expect that from her now because he hasn't heard from her in awhile or because she ignored him for a while so he wouldn't expect her to talk to him anyway. She's confused in what to do but now she's decided to just forget about him and move on. She's taking a plane ride and moving away so she will never see him again; she's tying all knots and saying goodbye. The second side is that she has decided to commit suicide so she's "done something terrible" and now she can't come back to life. When it says she's thousands of feet off the ground, it's suggesting that she's now in heaven or "at home." "Well I guess I'll go home now I guess I'll go home now I guess I'll go home now I guess I'll go home" This is saying that he is going to stop his search for her because he had no luck. He's going to go home and try to move on from her. |

| All Time Low – Therapy Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
According to Alex, this song was written for people who were told that they needed help when all they really needed was a hug. I think this song is about someone who has gone through a lot in their life or is feeling really depressed, and everyone is telling them that they should try therapy or they need to get help but they don't want to. Maybe he thinks that there's nothing wrong with him therefore he doesn't need therapy and no one understands him-or that he does need therapy but he doesn't want to go. "My ship went down in a sea of sound, When I woke up alone, I had everything. A handful of moments, I wished I could change and a tongue like a nightmare that cut like a blade." I think this part means that his life went down when people started talking bad about him. There were a lot of moments that he looked back on and thought 'why did I do that?' and he wishes that he could go back and change them. I think the last sentence 'A tongue like a nightmare that cuts like a blade' is talking about people who made fun of him/talked bad about him and it cut him up inside. "In a city of fools, I was careful and cool but they tore me apart like a hurricane. A handful of moments, I wished I could change But I was carried away." I think this is saying that he tried to come off as cool but it never worked; he was still an outcast and people still made fun of him. I think the last part means that there were a lot of moments he wishes to go back on and change but at the moment he was carried away and furious at all these people so he did something he wished he hadn't to them. "Give me a therapy, I'm a walking travesty but I'm smiling at everything. Therapy, you were never a friend to me, and you can keep all your misery." People are telling him that he needs to get help because he's a mess. Alex is saying that he appears happy on the outside, but he's really falling apart on the inside. He thinks that he can go on without the help of therapy and that it just makes him worse (you can keep all your misery) "My lungs gave out as I faced the crowd I think that keeping this up could be dangerous. I'm flesh and bone, I'm a rolling stone and the experts say I'm delirious" This means that he couldn't say anything when people were making fun of him and he thinks that if he keeps not being able to stick up for himself, things will get worse. Alex is saying that therapists think he is crazy. "Arrogant boy love yourself so no one has to, they're better off without you (They're better off without you) Arrogant boy 'Cause a scene like you're supposed to they'll fall asleep without you. You're lucky if your memory remains" I think he's talking to himself here. He's talking about how he loves himself because no one else does. Alex is talking bad about himself saying that he's arrogant and everyone is better without him in their lives. He's trying to talk himself into killing himself when he says 'they'll fall asleep without you' (he's saying that no one will care rather is is alive or dead when they go to sleep at night) and he is lucky if his memory even remains when he is dead. When it says to cause a scene, he's saying that everyone expects him to cause a scene because he's "strange or weird" so he just does what is expected of him. I don't know if this is true, but this is how I interpreted it and this is from my own personal experience. |
