I like your idea on it, I have one similar to that: "Are you afraid are you ashamed, of the gods and idols that you once made: I described this as saying how some people don't perform a certain task mostly because it goes against what they have learned, it goes against what they know, you fear that if you do something wrong that you may be punished (again this is opinion, I myself am not a religious person, but I accept all people no matter their faiths) "Did you think that you'd be saved, by the gods and idols that you once made: You won't change anything if you just wait for your faith to do all the work for you, you have to step up and help. |

| Life will always constantly change "let the currents carry me" Sometimes you just go with it, other times you may fear change after all change does bring negative effects sometimes. "Looking back in time." This is where you find yourself thinking back on before things changed, it could have been better what there is now, or perhaps a little worse. I myself have a goal using the quote "Leave the world a better place then when you arrived" I view the separation of people as a very serious reality, I want people to be seen as who they are, not what they wear, what they listen to, what color their skin is, how they speak. Personality is a major, so I have to agree with this songs speaking of change, I sometimes find myself "Looking back in time" to younger years, where it was all care free. I'm "Lost in thought" Alot of the times, wondering how this world would be if we could all get along. That how I depict this song so far, i listen to it daily so perhaps ill find something for the lyrics I didnt mention | |

This song is a love song yes, its lyrics scream that. But it is not solely about God, or Jesus, So do not pin it that way or else you will drastically change everyone's views on this amazing song!. I used this song to show my lover what they are to me and how they make me feel. I say, make this song for whatever you feel it fits best for, a lover, or a god. But if one person says "This song is for my wonderful boyfriend" don't attack them with "No! This song is about Jesus!" I myself don't mind other peoples faiths, but keep it to yourself, not everyone has a religion and that does not make them wrong. This song works either way, and I like to think that's what Lifehouse was hoping for. |
