I think about this song sometimes when I'm in the mountains or something like that. When I put myself through something difficult, waking up while it's still dark out, low temperatures, putting my body through a great stress, doing something quite uncomfortable, which is then rewarded by extraordinary experiences and feelings, like being on top of a mountain, or alone in the middle of nowhere. While some people prefer to be comfy at home, I like to burn out there. It is parallel to all Neurosis music to me. It's no casual thing, you really have to invest something in it. Give it a part of yourself. It is brutal and draining at times, but it can get you to places most people never get to. |
