| Beach House – Holy Dances Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I could be wrong, but I feel like this song partially maps onto the film Paris, Texas. The protagonist, Travis, spends his money on a desert lot. He doesn't remember why he bought it, but he carries a polaroid of it and is trying to find it as the film opens, wandering mutely through the desert. He associates it with his past life and ex-wife, both of which he is obliquely trying to return to via bleak stretches of land, to a parcel of land that is itself vacant. | |
