i really like this song. part of it reminds me of unrequited love:

when you love someone who you know doesn't love you back, you'll try to let go of it. And then you'll do something as simple as meet their eyes and be swept right back up again, no matter how useless it is.

love is so good but it hurts a lot. i could be wrong but that's what it reminds me of

I always thought the "zipper blues" it talks about in the chorus was talking about the zipper on a body bag. Zipper blues would be depression about how you have to die eventually.
