i'd like to think that the phrase "inside of you" is a metaphor for john's girlfriend letting him in/trusting him. "this fragile game... headed nowhere" = him dating her, falling for her even though he knows she doesn't feel the same way. the "i know i'm gonna fall" = he knows he's going to fall for her even if she doesn't want him to. and maybe the "you're getting off, i'm coming over" is him saying that she's off the "train" that's heading nowhere and is ready for a relationship. ...i don't know though for the most part i still think it's about sex you never really know with john lol |

the brutal honesty of her lyrics, with regards to things like her vices and relationships, really gets to me. she seemed so unhappy and i wished that someone was there to save her. it's so fucking sad. |

This is by far my favourite song off Pioneer, and I'm surprised that it has no comments. The Maine are one of the only bands that change their sound each album, and still manage to sound just as good as they were before. They're perfect live too, really underrated band and song. |
