| funny how (to me it seems) the gist of the song seems to match up exactly the same as the gist of the lyrics of the song "against the grain". sound like the same point was trying to be made in both songs. | |

| Against the Grain has album art on it which looks like its a bunch of fake corn and one real ear of corn. The corn could be a metaphor for most people are fake and few are real people(true to them selves). | |

Let's gather 'round the carcass of the old deflated beast, (Let's take a look at how dead society is) We have seen it through the accolades and rested in its lea, (you can see it by how in order to be happy you need from acknowledge from other people) Syntactic is our elegance, (what is beautiful to us is what society say it is ) Incisive our disease, (always thinking we know it all is our spreading problem ) The swath endogenous of ourselves will be our quandary, (whats are truly your thoughts/feelings vs what you have been taught to think will be our question) We've nestled in its hollow and we've suckled at its breast, (we live in and feed off society's brainwash) Grandiloquent in attitude, impassioned yet inept, (we have a show off attitude with a lot of passion but showing no skills) Frivolous gavel our design, (society teaches us to want unnecessary things just to have them) Ludicrous our threat, (being foolish show-offs will threatens society) Excursive expeditions leave us holding less and less, (to chase after superficial things will leave us holding less) So what does it mean? When we tell ourselves it's only for a while (we tell ourselves we will conform temporarily but will come back to who we are) We have been deceived (but we have lied to our selves) And it's only for a moment that the treasures of our day (we think it's only temporary that our technology/stuff we think is gold and) Make life easier to complicate, (that is supposed to make life easy is making life more complicate) The treasure thrown away, (we have throw away whats really important in life) I'm so tired Of all the fucked up minds Of all the terrorist religions And their bullshit lines, (I'm so tired of religions making up bullshit rules for people to live by) And of all the hand-me-downs From all industrial crimes (and how people continue to teach there kids to listen to them and be a consumer but the industry robs us) And the weeping mothers (mothers crying{making there kid feel guilty}when there kid chooses not to be what society thinks they should be) And those who are led so blind, (the people who cant see that there nothing but a heard to the rich) From the plastic protests (the reason protests are aloud is to make people think they can change things) And the hands of time (getting older) And the pursuit of mirth (its almost as if people want to stay stupid and be laughed by the rich) And all hating kind. (rich business men being hateful and killing us with out mercy to make more money) the song is about people in society are being herded like cattle through man made laws/ Religious lies, buying junk to impress others which is making the rich richer and how people continue to raise their kids to listen to them and if they don't they are told they're a bad person or stupid/unacceptable or wierd. |
