This song is saying you should settle for second best, because that's the best you'll ever get. The advice is wrapped up in a threat - that you will end up with nothing unless you follow it. It's basically trying to impose capitulation upon the protagonist, because it makes the singer feel better about having capitulated himself. |

Great song! It's about how modern women sometimes seem like they are from another planet to us dudes. Best bit is the hypnotizing bridge in the middle, then the abrupt switch back to reality for the guitar solo. |
