Heavenly were a major part of the twee pop movement in the UK in the 90s. Part of the Sarah Records (later Shinkansen records) stable. After 4 great Heavenly albums and Matt's death they formed Marine Research and then Tender Trap. Prior to Heavenly they were all in Tallulah Gosh. Heavenly were a great little band and were excellent live. I read an interview with the lead singer of THS and he said the only Heavenly record he owns was Space Manatee. So he's obviously talking about that one. |
