In my opinion , this song is about a little of everything. For exemple, the clip. The clip has such a deep meaning, the first thing that follows him represents the effects of war, the injured and blind pelican represents our treatment of the animals we share the planet with, that thing that has wood on his back represents deforestation, the wrecking ball monster represents our need to destroy and create, the serpent in the business suit is his views on capitalism, the skeleton represents our life being sucked from us and there's spider web that connects them all. So I think this song it's about what we humans did/are doing with the world, it's really sad when we think about it, isn't it? |
