It has nothing to do with love, that's overthinking the songs meaning. I have ADD. It's about internal feelings and living with ADD and the handicaps that come with it. ADD and ADHD are not synonymous. SAIL is a metaphor for TRAILING OFF and being disconnected. You sail away and aren't able to retain focus. The lyrics about maybe I should kill myself is about the challenges of having ADD. "an angel cries"... I am a good person, but different than you and this is how I am. I should know. I slept with the lead singer. Just kidding. |
