I actually asked Tonight Alive's singer about this. Amelia was her best friend as a kid, but they stopped talking for a long time, and eventually Amelia committed suicide (not related to Jenna McDougall). Jenna felt extremely guilty that she hadn't been there for Amelia when she really needed her, so she wrote this song to remember her, and to make sure that the world knows who she was, like it says during the bridge: "You made the news and the papers for days and days But it hardly seems fair The whole world should know your name I want them to know your name" |

| The song was written about masturbation. Tre Cool wrote it and recorded it as a joke, not realizing that Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt would actually put it on the album. Tre said it wasn't intended to be released, which is why he laughs and really goofs off (like when he cries when he says he's all by himself in the girl's room), and that it's about him brekaing into a girl's house and jacking-off in her room when noone is home. Funniest song ever made. | |
