So I think this song is about their fans so here it goes: We welcome you to the second chapter Thanks for turning the other page We acknowledge you as the only reason for the progress that we've made - Basically, ADTR toured for a long time before even releasing And Their Name Was Treason and FTWHH, to help gain a fanbase. Their fanbase grew considerably when they released And Their Name.. so when they released this album, they put out this song as a kinda of a dedication to the people who go them where they were. You're a constant reminder we came we came we saw we conquered - They're basically saying after all the shows, and all the hard work, they got what they deserved. Everything has come so far from where we were before We'd like to keep this short and sweet so I'LL GET TO THE POINT! - Saying that they've grown musically and gained popularity and that they're proud. MY FRIENDS COME FIRST, THAT'S THE BOTTOM LINE! Here's to the future, never getting older When the tables do turn where will you be? PICK UP YOUR FEET! -This is the part that interests me the most. What I think this paragraph means is that they're looking forward (Hence the name 'Fast Forward To 2012', maybe?)and that never give in to what other people think. Pretty much "believe in yourself and fuck what others think' kind of lyrics. "When the tables do turn where will you be?" might mean what will you be in the future? I don't know. This is just my interruption of this song. It's probably completely wrong. :3 |
