| KoЯn – Mr. Rogers Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| its not about the actual mr rogers, its just using his name to refer to JD's childhood neighbor who had molested him. Mr Rogers is commonly know as a neighbor, and since Jon never disclosed his abusers name, thats what he refers to him by. Hes saying how his innocence and childhood are gone because of what this evil man did. | |

I get where people are coming from with the concept of this being a suicide pact between JD and 'Hushabye', but the way i view it is entirely different. I think its an internal argument due to the line 'We've wasted it, our time is up,' almost between Jon's thoughts and actions. Jon, or just the mans POV, desperately wants to die, but finds he doesn't have the guts to take his life. Hushabye is a term used to quiet babies, but you can view it as people being childish instead. In other words, Jon's sub-concious, Hushabye, is arguing that JD is being childish and irresponsible by trying to take his own life, while Jon is arguing back that living and suffering is the irresponsible choice. Jon is attempting suicide here, but finds he just cant, which is why he repeats to himself that its a good day to go and over and over again tries to explain to hushabye that its time to die. No one can single handedly prevent suicide by not going along, and thus hushabye is part of Jon. |

This song isnt about sex. People dont understand these things unless theyve gone through a similar situation and ive been through exactly what this song is about, its about how you can drown out your pain with music. "A lonely life where no one understands you, but dont give up, because the music do" JD is saying how no matter how misunderstood you are, music while always understand. Twisted Transistor, meaning messed up radio/messed up music, is about a young girl who's self-hateful and abused verbally and/or physically, and how music comforts her no matter what she goes through, even if shes locked in her room sobbing and completely alone, how the lyrics can make you feel so much less lonely and almost become an addiction. I can relate to and understand this since when i was a young(er) girl (im only 14 atm), i was verbally abused and bullied really badly and was, at one point, suicidal because of it, this song (and some other korn songs) showed me i wasnt alone and helped me pull through. When you get that down, comfort becomes addictive, and you just cant get enough, and when your away from it you almost have withdrawl since no one understands you and wont listen even when you scream. PS- 'vibrations coming through' doesnt mean she uses a vibrator, music IS vibrations, all sound is, and all the bass in music played loud enough can make you shake and feel the vibrations. This song was written to preach to the lonely and desperate, and comfort them through their pain. Thanks -JR |
