This has a lyrical homage to Metallica's "Battery."
Smashing through the boundaries.

Cannot stop the battery) |

This song maybe about a moment of clarity and maybe not about the addiction necessarily but about the realization of being trapped in an alcohol/drug addiction (i.e. " There's a way out!"). "Touch of Red" referring to a moment bringing you to see everything in perspective, like getting caught in this habit by a loved one or a dark moment like close to a moment of suicide from being in a addiction or almost overdosing or getting into an accident from the affects of this alcohol/ drug abuse.
It's pretty much lyrically in that direction. Just my opinion... |

The crusades were first started by the Muslims in about the late eleventh century when they attempted to sack Constantinople. They attacked Constantinople and the Church sent its forces to protect the Byzantine rite Catholics (eastern orthodox) from an outright slaughter from these Muslim invaders. The Catholic church itself has not condoned murder or any slaughter of any peoples, in fact has apologized for such atrocities committed by INIDIVIDUALS with an agenda in the Church. They did not slaughter millions of people. That is not actual history we are told by people (usually by being uninformed of what really happened) but a perpetuated lie. History proves Catholicism defended other peoples and the Byzantines from outright slaughter and invasion by these Muslim invaders. Individuals in the ranks of the military in the Catholic Church who were servants of the State, not something the Church told people to do. And for the record, the Muslim invaders were the ones who really started it; their Saladin was really unmerciful as a man and ordered invasions and attacked everything in his path. Nothing like they portray in popular media.
