| The Script – Fall For Anything Lyrics | 12 years ago |

There are some girls I think of when I hear this song. One of them is a girl who was a good friend of mine. We are not as close as we used to be. She went to a mate's house and there was touching and stuff involved. She asked for a relationship but he always refused. He still saw him and did stuff with him though, but always said how in love with him the next day. Another boy she was with did stuff with her then told everyone. More recently, she had been with another guy who kept breaking up with her, then picking her up and dropping her again. I just get mad that she does this to herself. Hasn't she learnt from any of this? |

| Green Day – Walk Away Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| I think it's about facing your situations head on (eg, a relationship) but be prepared for what could possibly go wrong. Rather than trying to hide away from your situations, just deal with it and if things go wrong, just Walk Away | |

This song makes me think of my friendship with someone. We were very close but we have drifted a part so much since then. It was not obvious at first but it gradually grew. I made just new friends really... Thing is, I don't really know how I feel about it all. I am relieved we have accepted our friendship not really there any more but at the same time I feel like that it would be a massive loss to me and her. The "fever" of this song is basically, I always knew something was up. And the second verse "It's not just something you take, it's given" means we can't really have our friendship unless we give it to each other. This is my interpretation so people are not going to agree but that's how I see it based on my situation. |

| Coldplay – What If Lyrics | 13 years ago |

I believe this song is about a man who is singing to a girl who is scared of falling for him possibly due to past experiences in relationships. She is terrified of taking a risk but the guy tries to reason with her: "Every step that you take, could be your biggest mistake It could bend or it could break, but that's the risk that you take" "Oooh that's right, Let's take a breath and put it aside" He is telling the girl to put her past relationship which caused so much hurt aside. "Oooh that's right, How can you know it if you don't even try?" How can she know what to expect from the relationship if she hasn't even tried it with the guy? This is a brilliant song I only found recently. What have I been missing? |

I honestly really dislike Rihanna but I love Coldplay so much. When I hear this song, I really liked it! Very catchy and original. I think it's about a relationship which could have turned out brilliant and put them both in great positions in life. But they just end up hurt so it ended. They both feel lik the victim in the relationship since they both say how they were hurt by their partner. Like what everyone else said, this is quite an easy interpretation of a Coldplay song. I personally prefer their deep meanings in their songs and how people have different interpretations, but I quite like the simplicity of the lyrics with the fresh new style of music :) |

| Emeli Sandé – River Lyrics | 13 years ago |

I was really curious to know the meaning of this song, but I found that nobody had commented on this song so I tried thinking about what I thought of it. I wrote a story in my head to help come up with the meaning of this song. I think it's about a girl who loves a man, but she is so quiet that he doesn't notice her. He is too busy wanting to "find the sea" and be full of the success. The girl decides to help lead his way to victory and success so that he could stop focusing on trying to get there. When he gets what he wants, finally might notice the quiet girl and how loyal she has been to her. This is my interpretation, other people might see it as a friend trying to help another friend to light. |

| Emeli Sandé – My Kind Of Love Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| She explains how she may not be perfect. (e.g. quiet at parties, getting angry sometimes) But even though she has those imperfections, she will be there for him whenever things are not going well in his life. Because she is by his side so much, he can't really question that her heart doesn't beat for him. | |
| Norah Jones – Miriam Lyrics | 13 years ago |

I think this song is about a girl who is very angry with another girl called Miriam for sleeping with her boyfriend. She's so angry with her that she decides to kill her. This is definitely a new side to Norah Jones. You expect her to be all sweet and innocent then she comes out with this haunting song. I love it! |

| Lana Del Rey – Video Games Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I think it is about a woman who loves a young man who is in his teen years. He has the young mind which normally works around Video Games. (Like how young teen boys are obsessed with their video games) He plays with her like she is a Video Game herself. He has control over her, but she does not care because it means she has won he heart. She feels that she would not be complete if she does not have his love, so she continues letting him control her and play with her like a Video Game. | |
| Atomic Kitten – The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling) Lyrics | 13 years ago |

This was my favourite song when I was about 4, but I didn't know the name of the song or any of the words, it was just that melody in my head all the time! Glad I found it again, because it kind of matches the situation I am in now. I like this guy, but every girl fancies him, he is a proper flirt. But "I'm not the kind of girl who gives up just like that". I still have that bit of hope that it could happen even though so many other girls are waiting in line to be his "number 1". |

| Norah Jones – She's 22 Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
I absolutely love this song! Norah Jones is just amazing! "She's 22 And loving you And you'll never know how it makes me blue" That section is talking about, how a woman loves this other woman's lover and it makes her feel sad that she is all over him. "Does it make you happy?" She questions if he is actually happy with this girl loving him. "I'm holding on To a thing that's wrong And we don't belong" It's meaning she hasn't given up on loving this guy and she holding onto that hope. But that hope is wrong because they don't belong. "But you like my songs" I think that means, but I am not sure really, that he likes her presence, he likes it when she hangs in the background, like her songs. "And you make me happy, Does she make you hapy?" She says how he makes her happy and once again, questions if the girl makes him happy. "You can throw away Every word I say" This can mean that she knows and accepts that he doesn't want to take in what she says. She knows what she will say, he will not listen. "I'm standing still On this hidden hill And i'm looking around For the right way down To your distant valley" When she says she is on a hidden hill, she means she is hidden from the guy, he can't see her. She is hidden. She is trying to find her way into him, and work out those distant feelings. How does he really feel for her or the girl? "Your flowers grow in the frozen snow And I'd like to know if it's all a show 'Cause you sure look happy Are you really happy?" She is surprised at how suddenly he is happy. His happiness has bloomed when he was supposed to be sad at this time, maybe after the girl singing and him broke up. She wonders if this whole thing is just a show, to make her feel jealous, or make him look like he has moved on and doesn't need her. And she asks if he really is happy with this girl and how everything is. And the rest of the songs lines are lines from earlier that I already looked at. This is my interpretation of it, sorry if you don't think it's right, it was a first shot. :) |
