The song is about a hooker, preacher, farmer and teacher. (Well Duh!) This song is from the view point of a person (be they child or adult it doesn't matter) in the congregation of a church listening to a sermon. It's about the people going to mexico for their various personal reasons. They get into a crash and all die except for the hooker. Just before the preacher dies he hands the hooker his bible and changes her for the better. She ends up living to have a son and her son ends up to be a preacher who tells the singer of the song the whole story. A twist of fate kind of thing huh? |
