I kind of envision Ryan's situation back when OneRepublic got famous and had lots of concerts, as the inspiration behind. The part below nails it: "I don't know what day it is I had to check the paper I don't know the city But it isn't home But you say I'm lucky To love something that loves me But I'm torn as I could be Wherever I roam" Lots of tours, lots of cities to travel, loses sense of when and where he is. He loves music, and music loves him. Loves performing, and his fans love him. But in the end, he feels lost without home and his wife (don't think he had kids yet back when this was written). |
