Switchfoot – Daisy Lyrics 13 years ago
i honestly have a completely different interprentation of any of this and wasnt sure if it was correct was honestly surprised when i didn't read it anywhere.

I thought Daisy was supposed to be a symbolism for a girl but really Foreman being tricky talking about a part of God. God is referred to as a male generally, and Mother Nature in a way is just like another synonym for a part of what God represents, and in reality God is definitly not a gender.

Daisy was like part of God, and he's saying how he (she) gives himself(herself) away and we are hopeless. Cause we sometimes just really are. But he keeps trying and I'm not complaining but thats what I heard from the song and I'm sure I'm probably wrong but I like how it sounds so I'll stick to it
