This song is about this priest who everybody trusts and leaves their kids with.. and the feelings of the victims of molestation. The razor-blade stands for the priest leaving a scar on his victims. It might have been his Uncle but I think that's more a metaphor for somebody that he trusted and knew. He may not forgive him ("and there's no forgiveness for you, you sick fuck.)but he tries to move on anyways (In letting go ... i am so proud of what I've done) |

I don't think that this song is about his girlfriend at all... i think it is about his mother. i think that they weren't the closest family. She knows every mistake about him that's why in the song he says "hate me for every mistake that i have made" ... He hurt in a way that nobody ever had hurt her before... he put her through hell... he thinks she hates him because of all the stuff he put her through and he kinda hates what he put her through too that's why he says " hate me for all the things i didn't do for you.." In the beginning of the song it starts with the voice recording of his mother calling... In the song he says " An ounce of peace is all i want for you... will you never call again? ... and you never say that you love me just to throw it in my face. And will never try to reach me? It is I that wanted space." They went through a lot together and she helped him get through so much... "I'm sober now for three whole months... it's one accomplishment that you helped me with. For the one thing that always tore us apart is the one thing i wont touch again." That one thing that tore them apart was the alcohol. "While i was busy waging wars on myself you were trying to stop the fight. You never doubted my warped opinions on things like suicidal hate.. you made me compliment myself when it was way too hard to take.. so ill drive so f-ing far away that i never cross your mind and do whatever it takes to leave me behind. " He doesn't want her too have all that pain still with her so he says he just wants her to forget about him so that she won't. Now that i think about it... it could be about his girlfriend or ex.. but i think its more about his mother and his teen yars when they were living together |
