When I heard this song, well Vicci Martinez's version of the single,I thought it was Nicole Scherzinger who sung it. Anyways, after looking it up I started listening to the words more, and I think it sounds kind of comforting... idk why? I guess it's just the melody of it and the part where it says "and i'll ease your pain" sounds like they're going through some "tough times" but the "come along with me" part is them pairing up and helping each other to stop whatever the source of hardship is causing pain. I think the one offering help is the stronger of the two. One sounds like the victim/sufferer - and the other is aware of the present pain, as well as the source of it. So she (or he) is trying to ease the pain by offering help. I can actually kind of relate this to my life in a way. Like when I was trying to help my friend out because he was dealing with some serious emotional/mental/trust issues pain. He had trouble letting go of the past due to some experiences he had with members of his family and still hates his dad for it. I love this song, and that's why I listen to it on repeat. :) I like both versions, and I find it kind of is "sexy" in a way.. no homo, lol. |

Idk why but for some reason this song strikes me as meaningful ... it's deep in a simple way... I see it can be interpreted as wanting something, and wanting to really sacrifice all to have it... it could be anything he really feels it means something to him that it's worth all the sacrifice he is willing to make - "just for one thing". "Even though I know, I don't want to know, Yeah I guess I know, I just hate how it sounds" :-) beautiful line. To me I can apply this to my self because since I have type 1 diabetes, it's something I know I have, have to live with, and not like, but I have to accept that but I dislike having it and hate the fact/sound of it. Well I guess I to applied the song's meaning to life living with diabetes. I love how this song can be related to wanting something and willing to sacrifice whatever for it even though it may be hard. I sacrifice a little discipline to achieve good blood sugars! :-) |
