I think most of dead weather's songs are about relationships where one of them has a lot of power above the other. But also it's kinda sad if you always analyze it as a BAD thing. It's just what happens if you have a strong personality and fall always in love with passive people. I don't think that the strong one wants to manipulate the situation. As a matter of fact, he just wants to protect the weak one(cause he knows that he's stronger). But in retrospection he knows that it's a wrong reason to affect the other's life, but it's the only way that he knows how to be. |

It's clearly about Meg. It's not necessarily about being famous or being teased by paparazzi. It's just about the way he knows how Meg is and the way she's been treated all her life by other people. Neither it's unknown that he really cares about her and loves her, despite being divorced. Every Jack's lyric it's filled with his kindness. I can feel it and that's why I admire him so much. |
