This song is about a man who was once in love but now the romance is fading away. The glass and blood represent a fight they had and the salt on the wound represent him wanting to heal the relationship. When he says "come on skinny love just last the year"... he is saying he just wants the love to last a little longer. He is'nt ready to let go of what they have. He loved her honestly and she did'nt feel the same. He knows the split from something that lasted so long will be hard but being in the relationship is harder and is only a strain. |

I feel this song is about a girl who is lost at first and can't find herself. Then along comes this guy into her life, her world. She wants to trust him, believe his intentions are good, but she can't be for sure because she doesnt know his heart. She thinks she is just apart of some game and she is'nt sure she wants to play, but the way he makes her feel is something she enjoys. |
