Kansas – Can't Cry Anymore Lyrics 13 years ago
The London Philharmonic Orchestra added great depth and feeling to this song but the knock-out vocal performance by Steve Walsh is truly wonderful.

Kansas – The Preacher Lyrics 13 years ago
From the 1988 album, "In The Spirit of Things". Steve Walsh's Hammond organ sounds great and his vocals are powerful and spirited.

Kansas – The Spider Lyrics 13 years ago
This song is an instrumental written by Steve Walsh......it may have lyrics but I've never seen them nor have I heard of any. This song is really adventurous from a musicians standpoint with the changing time signatures and the virtuoso keyboard playing by Walsh and Kerry Livgren.

Kansas – Point of Know Return Lyrics 13 years ago
The "know" is simply a play on words as suggested by Kansas' manager. This song was written by Steve Walsh, Robby Steinhardt, and Phil Ehart. The interplay between Walsh's organ and Steinhardt's violin is great.

Kansas – Dust In The Wind Lyrics 13 years ago
Although Steve Walsh turned in a great vocal performance on this song it was written by Kerry Livgren. Kerry Livgren had been reading a book about Native American poetry and this was his inspiration for the lyrics. The melody came from a finger picking exercise he had been playing on an acoustic guitar.

Kansas – The Wall Lyrics 13 years ago
I'm afraid some of the people posting here don't have all the facts about, "The Wall". This song was written by Kerry Livgren and Steve Walsh. Steve Walsh sang the lead vocal and more than likely played the organ on this track. The album "Leftoverture" came out in 1976.

Kansas – Closet Chronicles Lyrics 13 years ago
"Closet Chronicles", was indeed a song about Howard Hughes. The organ intro by Steve Walsh has an almost church-like sound to it.

Kansas – Portrait (He Knew) Lyrics 13 years ago
To those of us who have enjoyed the music of Kansas over the years the song, "Portrait( He Knew )", is about Albert Einstein.......this is a well known, documented fact. What's interesting however, is most people have forgotten that Kerry Livgren is a CO-WRITER of this song. Lead vocalist and keyboardist Steve Walsh was also a co-writer.
